Friends of the Melrose Public Library Provide Full or Partial Funding for:

• Summer reading programs for all ages;

• Adult programs, including author appearances, workshops, and movies;

• Children and teen programs, activities, events, and movies;

• Free and reduced admission passes to areas museums and attractions;

• OverDrive and other materials in new formats;

• Expanded CD and DVD collections;

• Mobile hot spots that library card holders can check out;

• Equipment, including portable A/C to improve comfort in meeting rooms;

• New furniture;

• Seed money for "Quick Picks" book collection;

• Seasonal decorations;

• Emergency funding when necessary during difficult economic times.
